Your account
Your Philter One account is where you manage and purchase your Philter One devices.
Creating an account
-
Sign up
On the sign-up page, enter your email address and choose a password. At least 10 characters, with an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a number, and a symbol.
-
Confirm your email address
We email you a link. Open it to confirm your address; you can sign in only after you do. The link expires after 24 hours. If it expires, sign in and we'll send a new one.
-
Sign in
Sign in from the main page with your email address and password.
Account details
Your account details are your name, business name, phone number, business address, and mailing address. We use them when you purchase Philter One devices and for shipping and billing; devices ship to your business address. Add or change them on the account details page.
Until your details are complete, your account page reminds you, and you can't buy a device.
Passwords
Changing your password
On the account details page, enter your current password and your new one. Changing it signs out your other devices; you stay signed in where you made the change. We email you to let you know it changed.
If you forget your password
Use Forgot your password? on the main page and enter your email address. We email you a link to choose a new password. The link works once and expires after an hour. Resetting your password signs you out everywhere.
Too many incorrect passwords
After several incorrect passwords, signing in is paused for 15 minutes. Wait and try again, or reset your password.
Two-factor sign-in
Two-factor sign-in protects your account with a code from an authenticator app on your phone, such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or 1Password, in addition to your password. It is optional, and we recommend it.
Turning it on
-
Start setup
On the account details page, choose Set up two-factor sign-in.
-
Add Philter One to your app
Scan the QR code with your authenticator app. If you can't scan it, type the key shown below it into the app.
-
Confirm with a code
Enter the 6-digit code your app shows. Two-factor sign-in turns on only after a correct code.
-
Save your recovery codes
You'll see 10 recovery codes, once. Store them somewhere safe, such as a password manager. Each one works once, in place of a code from your app.
Signing in with two-factor sign-in
After your password, enter the code your app currently shows. If you've lost your phone, enter one of your recovery codes instead.
Turning it off
On the account details page, enter your password and choose Turn off two-factor sign-in. To get new recovery codes, turn it off and on again.
